The church will reopen for worship service on June 6, 2021. Congregants may begin entering the building at 10:00AM and worship service will begin promptly at 11:00 AM. Service will last for one hour only.
No. At this time, the church is only open for worship service. Additional activities will be permitted at a later date as determined by Pastor Cooper.
Per recent CDC guidance, persons who have been fully vaccinated may elect not to wear a mask indoors. If you choose not to wear a mask, we ask that you ensure you have been fully vaccinated. If you have not been vaccinated, we ask that you please continue to wear your mask. If you have been vaccinated but feel more comfortable wearing a mask, we encourage you to do so. Masks will be available to those who do not have one. While we will not be requiring proof of vaccination, we are asking members to abide by the honor system.
Yes! The church underwent a professional deep cleaning and sanitation in April 2021 and has been professionally cleaned on a regular basis each month. When worship services resumes, the professional cleaning services will likewise continue each week to ensure that the building is safe and sanitized for our members.
Yes. Every Sunday throughout the month of June, we will serve communion during worship service. If you will not be attending service and would like to receive a self-serve communion kit, you may pick one up from the church on the Saturday prior to worship between 1pm - 2pm. When the congregation receives communion during service, you will be able to partake of sacrament along with us.
Yes. We have completely overhauled our Audio/Visual ministry to be able to ensure that those who are unable or unready to return to in-person worship will still be able to join us virtually.
Yes. Initially we will only be permitting 30 congregants in the building each Sunday. Attendance will be on a registration basis and will be first-come, first-serve. The reason is to allow for limited social distancing and to reduce the exposure within the building as we reacclimatize to being in person. This number may increase or decrease once we have actual experience in worship and get a better idea of what is most suitable. Our aim is to have everyone seated in the Sanctuary. However, there is a slight possibility that some persons may be seated in the Fellowship Hall and view services via the television screens. **Note that there will be a minimal number of staff (musicians, ushers, etc) that will not be included in the above limited capacity. **
You will be able to sign-up to attend services by calling the church office at (706) 323-5622 on each Wednesday and Thursday from 12-2pm. The first day that you may begin calling to register for service is Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
You can sign up to attend any Sunday that you wish, but may only pre-register for up to two services at a time. The initial registration window will only be for Sundays in the month of June. The maximum number of persons that you can register at a time is 4 persons. This is to allow all persons an equal opportunity to register for worship.
No. Congregants will enter through the main lobby doors and enter the Sanctuary through the rear doors off of the main lobby. The nursery and classrooms will not be accessible. The fellowship hall will only be accessible if we determine that we need to open it for overflow seating. Persons will exit the sanctuary via the side door of the sanctuary near the musicians. If you need to use the restroom, please exit through these door and re-enter through the sanctuary from the main lobby. When service concludes, please remain in your place until Pastor Cooper gives instructions on how to exit in an orderly fashion. Please do not congregate in the building after service. We are asking you to congregate outside to reduce any indoor exposures.
No. An abbreviated worship bulletin will be available virtually via a website link that will be accessible via a QR code that will be made available during service. This is to reduce cross germ exposure from physical bulletins.
Worship service will be abbreviated and will last for ONE HOUR only. This will be a highly abbreviated service with the only major necessities (Doxology, Call to Worship, Prayer, Scripture, Song, Sermon, etc) Our intention is to slowly acclimate our congregation to resuming communal worship.
Yes. Hand sanitation stations will be available as a convenience. However, we encourage persons to wash their hands with soap and warm water (for at least 20 seconds) when possible.
Yes. You will still be able to give electronically via Givelify. You will also be able to leave your physical offering in a basket at the church upon your exit.
We are reopening our physical church facilities on June 6, 2021 for Worship Service only. Additional church activities such as meetings and other activities will resume at a later date to be determined by Pastor Cooper.
